How much does car waxing cost, and what makes up the price?
The price of waxing depends on two things: how long you want the protection to last and how big your car is. Our shortest-lasting protection, Hard wax, costs €129–149 and lasts 6–8 months. The longest-lasting, a ceramic coating for the whole car, costs from €1,099. Below you can see all the options and what the price includes.
Prices at a glance
| Service | Protection lasts | Time in the hall | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hard wax | 6–8 months | 1 h 15 min | €129–149 |
| Premium wax | 12 months | 1 h 40 min | €199–239 |
| Paint coating | 18–24 months | 2 h 55 min | €299–359 |

Why the size of the car affects the price
The amount of work grows with the surface area of the car, so the price is different for a passenger car, an SUV and a van. You will see the price for your car in the booking as soon as you choose the vehicle type.
The other thing that affects the price is how long the protection lasts. Longer-lasting protection needs more careful preparation and more time, but it does not need renewing as often.
What the price includes
Hard wax includes all the preparation: a hand wash, clay treatment, washing and drying the door frames, and washing the rubber mats. The preparation decides the result. Wax will not bond to a surface that has dirt on it, and the clay treatment removes the particles that a normal wash leaves behind. Afterwards the paint is smooth, and the protection bonds to it evenly. A pre-wash and clay treatment are part of all our waxing and coating services in the same way.
Premium wax is a wax based on nanotechnology. It lasts about a year, so a single treatment protects your car against both road salt in winter and insects and tree sap in summer.
Coatings are in a class of their own. Paint coating forms a durable film on the paint, and a coated car does not need waxing. NanoCeramic Protect – full set coats the glass and the wheels as well as the paint. If you would like the paint polished before it is coated, you can arrange that when you book.
Wax or coating: which works out cheaper?
Compare the protection, not the one-off price. If you wax your car twice a year, add up the price of two waxes and compare it with a coating that lasts one and a half to two years. You also do not need to bring a coated car in for waxing.
Wax is still a good choice if you want protection quickly or do not yet know how long you will keep the car. It also suits a new car, and you can renew it at any time.
If you are wondering how the options differ in practice, they are covered in more detail in our article on wax versus coating.
